Airfoil Blade
The BC-550 blast suppression damper is designed for protection against blasts and instantaneous pressure changes. It has been independently tested for blast pressures up to 15 psi which covers several Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and General Services Administration (GSA) codes.
Frame: 10" x 2" x 10 gauge (254 x 54 x 3.5) galvanized steel channel.
Blades: 16 gauge (1.5) galvanized double skin airfoil.
Axles: 3/4" (19) solid steel.
Blade Lock: Spring plunger to lock blades in closed position after blast event.
Linkage: 3/16" (5) thick x 3/4" (19) wide steel bars.
Bearings: Relubricatable ball bearing bolted to frame.
Finish: Mill.
Minimum Size: 6" x 6" (152 x 152)
Maximum Size:
Single Section: 36" x 96" (914 x 2438)
Multiple Section: 72" x 96" (1829 x 2438)
Maximum Blast Pressure: Up to 15 psi
Maximum Velocity: Up to 4,000 fpm (20.3 m/s)
Temperature:
Minimum: -40oF (-40oC)
Maximum: 250oF (121oC)
